Treating all eye conditions

Over 60% of people over the age of 60, and quite a few younger than that are affected by cataracts – it is so common that almost everyone will develop a cataract if they live long enough.

About 90% of all AMD are dry type. It is due to the accumulation of waste products from the light sensitive cells of the retina and causes a gradual deterioration of central vision. There has been no effective means of treating dry AMD until now.

Only 10% of AMD is of the wet type. A weakness in a membrane under the retina allows abnormal blood vessels to grow into the retina. These blood vessels may bleed or leak fluid causing swelling of the retina resulting in distortion and rapid deterioration of the central vision.
