Laser Surgery

Laser eye surgery involves the use of highly sophisticated excimer lasers to remove minute, precise amounts from the cornea (the clear front part of your eye). A thin protective outer layer of the eye is moved aside, and the laser is applied onto the thicker layer underneath.

The two most common types of laser eye surgery are referred to as LASIK and LASEK.

Some people may only be found suitable for either LASEK or LASIK laser eye surgery, whereas some people may be suitable for both.
